Job Description and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

PURPOSE
The Sr. IT Project Manager, Jobs in Saudi Arabia, must possess expertise in leading large initiatives utilizing industry based Project Management processes with accountability to develop the Project Management Plan. The Sr. IT Project Manager will lead the development and approval of the Project Management Plan. This role requires demonstrated success in driving projects to completion in an environment consisting of cross organizational resources, interfacing with vendors for purchasing of services, software, and/or hardware and competing priorities across other projects in execution.

NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the IT Project Management Office (PMO) Manager. The incumbent will manage a wide variety of projects across all of the IT departments. IT projects range from highly complex technology based projects which change technical platforms and architectures to strategic business projects that significantly change the business processes and practices, to finally multiple low costs, short duration enhancement projects.

DIMENSIONS
The IT Project Portfolio typically has over 50 active projects at any time. These projects are sponsored by our business supply chains, business segments, and global process management teams worldwide delivering IT Solutions. The Solution annual budget ranges from $30MM-60MM. IT Projects range in size from $25,000 to over $1,000,000 in cost. Project types include application-based IT Solutions both internally built and externally purchased or hosted.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is accountable for the following end results:

Proven ability to see the -big picture- and to help clients build out strategy prior to identifying objectives.
Manage multiple and/or complex projects which support multiple business areas and geographies
Accountable for leading project teams from option generation through execution to meet stated business and project objectives

Accountable and Responsible for establishment and measurement of key project objectives
Overall accountability for clarifying, developing, evaluating and documenting individual project plans
Responsible for project team cohesiveness in an environment where team members are in multiple locations and of diverse cultural backgrounds.

Responsible for balancing business desires/requirements with IT possibilities and cost constraints.
Demonstrated track record with all aspects of project management including extensive stakeholder management with senior level customers; and the ability to plan and execute large implementations or complex projects
Experience as an enthusiastic, motivating leader that understands how to identify and leverage strengths and weaknesses within the team. A critical component of this position is the ability to influence without authority.
Ability to plan and estimate technology-related projects.

Ability to manage conflict within the team as well as with stakeholder groups.
The ability to communicate effectively with senior level managers, as well as the technical team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

BS degree in business, computer science or related field or equivalent technical training and experience
Approximately 10+ years related experience, of which ideally 4+ years are in project management involving complex technology and business processes.

Candidates must have a background in Project Management of large, complex customer facing projects and a history of successful resolution of project management issues within a complex organization

PMP Certification is highly desired.
