Description
we are currently looking for an experienced Manager of Projects to be part of our team in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to provide consistent, sustainable and effective management direction for all projects within the Saudi & Bahrain Location with a view to ensuring successful project delivery, continuing improvement in capability and career progression and training for all staff within the department.
Major Accountabilities of Position:
HSE Management
Work with project managers/project engineers to ensure that all areas of a project or all projects are set up and executed in full compliance with the requirements of Worley HSE Management system
Assist in formulating pro-active HSE initiatives and programs
Demonstrate behaviour and business practices commensurate with a culture of world’s best health, safety and environmental performance
Assist in developing, communicating, implementing and regularly review systems, strategies, standards and processes (including environmental plans or health management programs) that;
Minimise the potential impact of work activities or work sites managed by Worley on the environment
Manage the impact of work activities or work sites supervised by Worley on the environment
Manage recovery from environmental incidents
Promote safe, healthy and environmentally friendly workplaces and behaviour, including workplaces not managed by WorleyParsons and behaviour when not at work.
Manage workplace illness and injury
Acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge and awareness of the workplace environment to identify and manage work hazards and incidents
Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to

healthy and safe workplaces and activities; and
continuously improve WorleyParsons health, safety and environmental performance
Capability Enhancement
Local champion for the Worley Project Management Process (WPMP)
Direct the implementation of new company systems and capability enhancements across projects
Determine areas of potential improvement and direct the implementation of change to address these areas
Ensure the growing capability of our people in the Department
Co-ordination with the Global Project Delivery Group and planning and implementation of global corporate initiatives originating from the group
Client Relationships
Ensure that client requirements and the needs of multiple stakeholders are being identified and managed effectively
Performance Management
Supervise, equip and coach employees within the area of responsibility to ensure the proper performance (HSE, Commercial [including Budget and Gross Margin], Schedule, Customer Satisfaction and Risk Management) of all projects
Ensure close monitoring pf project trends/problems and taking early remedial action
Work with project managers and the project controls personnel to ensure regular (usually weekly), accurate and standardised reporting for all individual projects
Ensure a report of overall Project Delivery performance (summarising data from key component projects) is generated at least monthly
Work with the Department to ensure that every person working on projects has clearly defined goals and expectations
Ensure that all projects undergo an internal monthly review of project status and health, in accordance with standard company procedures
Report monthly to President, Saudi Arabia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, projects on traffic light status of the location’s largest projects (in terms of services value)
Quality Management
Work with project managers/project engineers to ensure all projects are set up and executed in full compliance with all the requirements of the Worley Project Management Process (WPMP) and
General Management System (EMS) using consistent approaches, Work Breakdown Structures, work methodologies and reporting systems
Ensure all personnel are suitably trained to access and use EMS and WPMP
Ensure a program of mini-audits (e.g. cross discipline audits) of WPMP and EMS is a feature (and key training mechanism) across the project or portfolio of projects
Work with the WPMP custodians to continually improve WPMP and hence ensure all project management systems, processes, procedures and guidelines are appropriate, current and effective to support project delivery
Ensure best practice, continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learnt are commonly shared amongst the Department
Resourcing
Assist in recruitment and allocation of personnel to projects to ensure each project is suitably resourced with sufficient capable expertise and that workload is balanced
Team Building
Chair a periodic (at least once every 2 months) communication and coordination forum for the Location’s projects
Ensure personnel see the Project Management Team as their “long term home” even though they may move from project to project
Personnel Development
Help manage the training plans and career development of the employees within the area of responsibility
Implement the formal competency-based assessment and development programme for all project management personnel
Develop and implement training budget for project management personnel
Ensure all new starters at supervisory level receive WPMP training.
Ensure that all employees within the are of responsibility participate in the annual Performance Feedback and Development (“Performance Appraisal”) program
Participate in the annual performance scoring of all the employees within the area of responsibility
Provide a mentoring system for employees to assist them in their career development
General Accountabilities of Position:

Implement these Processes, ensure personnel have access to them, regularly undertake reviews to assess compliance, and refer serious breaches to the relevant person or committee

Extensive technical, practical and commercial experience including proven ability in leading multidiscipline activities and substantial experience and proven track record in managing projects
Experience in managing a portfolio of projects and a multidiscipline team, demonstrable commitment to HSE Management in a project environment, excellent leadership and communication skills and demonstrable experience in reporting and performance
Approximately, 20 years minimum industry experience
Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
A recognized degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with a specialization in Engineering
Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant discipline; management or supervisory qualifications are preferred
